Entry 2
On this cold earth, it was you:
walking directly into sunlight
as if it were the ocean
while below, all the soft colours
gather in my arms. One day
this movement will cease
this separation will end
this body is only a dark field
upon which summer travels eternally
this body is only soft rain
upon which a dark field arrives
when that person runs so desperately
towards the horizon, the land trembles
and rings soundly beyond a lifetime:
just now, whose heartbeat
were you listening for?
violet shadow cusping my face
reluctantly, the figure descends
in full bloom
One day
I will know
ordinary daybreak:
copper wings, rising sky, dusk
when I wake, this story has
long passed. my dear
it was you, once more
my incomplete body
the only memory, upon
its final departure
returning to the beginning
it was born to lose
it opens forever:
when the tips of my fingers
turned green.
when your imprint
passed mine, right here.
